Yu-Gi-Oh! Archetype Preview: Time Lord

Time Lords are an all-Light archetype, consisting of all Level 10 monsters. Excluding the ace card Sephylon, none of them can be destroyed by battle or by card effects (receive no damage from battles involving Time Lord monster), but all of them return to the deck during the standby phase after summoning. In addition to their interesting effects, most of them can be normal summoned without tributing.

Time Lords are an all-Light all-Fairy archetype, consisting of all Level 10 monsters.  Excluding the ace card Sephylon, none of them can be destroyed by battle or by card effects (receive no damage from battles involving Time Lord monster), but all of them return to the deck during the standby phase after summoning.  In addition to their interesting effects, most of them can be normal summoned without tributing.  This archetype, which comes out in 2012, should be watched closely - so far, only Sephylon, The Ultimate Time Lord and Metaion, The Time Lord have been officially released.

Monsters

Sephylon, The Ultimate Time Lord - This brilliant card can be special summoned when you have 10 or more monsters in the graveyard - giving you a 4000/4000 ATK and DEF beatstick.  Once per turn, it can special summon a Level 8 or higher Fairy monster from the hand or graveyard.  The effect of this special summoned monster is negated, but its ATK and DEF become 4000/4000 as well.

Metaion, The Time Lord - This a brilliant stall card, but can also be used to inflict a bit of damage to your opponent - as well as getting rid of all his monsters.  If you control no monsters, you can normal summon Metaion without tributing.  Once he is summoned, he cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, and you take no damage from such battles.  If Metaion battles, all other monsters on the field are returned to the hand, and your opponent takes 300 damage for each.  The only draw-back is that you cannot summon monsters while Metaion is face-up, and if he is face-up, he is sent back to the deck during the standby-phase.  The obvious solution for Metaion and the rest of the Time Lords - use their effects and then Book Of Moon them.

Razion, The Time Lord - Once he is summoned, he cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, and you take no damage from such battles.  If he does conduct battle, all of your opponent's monsters and cards in their graveyard are sent back to the deck.  During the draw phase, your opponent takes 1000 damage.  Similar to all other Time Lord cards, Razion is sent back to the deck during the standby-phase.

Tzaphion, The Time Lord - Once he is summoned, he cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, and you take no damage from such battles.  If he does battle, all of your opponent's spells and traps are sent back to the deck.  When this card is removed from the field, you get to draw cards until you have 5 cards in your hand.  Similar to all other Time Lord cards, Tzaphion is sent back to the deck during the standby-phase.

Zadion, The Time Lord - Once he is summoned, he cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, and you take no damage from such battles. If he does battle, and your life points are lower than 4000, they are increased back up to 4000.  Similar to all other Time Lord cards, Zadion is sent back to the deck during the standby-phase.

All current and known up-coming Time Lord monsters and support cards were included in this overview.  All images from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wiki.
